The elementary years are the ideal time to nurture social-emotional competence and develop foundational learning skills. Our Second Step® Elementary classroom kits offer an evidence-based approach to social-emotional learning (SEL), with age-appropriate lessons that are easy to teach and fun to learn. Including online training, family communications, and additional educator resources, Second Step Elementary classroom kits are used and loved by school communities around the world.
Many of our students come to us without the social-emotional skills they need to become productive adults in a world that is increasingly becoming smaller and flatter. Since the skills can be taught, I feel it is imperative that we as educators do more to teach self-management, relationship building, cooperation, and conflict resolution.

Safe, Supported, and Ready to Learn

Streaming Lesson Media
Songs, photos, and award-winning videos that add fun and variety to students’ learning are included in Second Step Elementary classroom kits. This lesson media can also be accessed online on SecondStep.org, along with other resources that supplement Second Step Elementary classroom kits, the Second Step® Bullying Prevention Unit (Grades K–5), and the Second Step® Child Protection Unit (Grades EL–5). Spanish materials are included through Grade 3.
